Margao, Apr 6: Quepem Police have arrested Nagraj Manhurdkar (21) for allegedly raping a 18-year-old girl.
According to the police, the incident happened late evening on Wednesday, while the girl was returning home from Sanvordem, 22 Km from here, after attending the annual festival of Maruti temple.
Soon after the incident, the family of victim lodged a complaint and the police arrested suspect Manhurdkar under section 376 and 392 of the Indian Penal Code.
The victim has been examined at the Goa Medical College.
Police inspector Prabodh Shirvoikar is investigating the case.
