Udupi, Oct 24: A bike rider was killed on the spot when a recklessly driven car rammed into his mobike in front of the Kota police station near Brahmavar here on Monday October 23.  Another person who was riding the pillion too has sustained serious injuries in the road crash.

While the deceased has been identified as Dinesh Ganiga (30), the injured has been identified as Rajesh Ganiga (30).  They were on their way to Harthatti from Kota on a mobike, when a car speeding towards Mulki from Kundapur collided with them.

As a result, both of them fell on the road and sustained injuries.  Dinesh who was riding the bike, sustained critical injuries in his head and died on the spot.  Rajesh has been admitted to KMC Hospital at Manipal for treatment.

A case has been booked against the car driver in this regard.
