Mangalore, Oct 23: Canara Organisation for Development and Peace (CODP), recently organized a Sponsored Children’s Camp at Nanthoor here. Similar camps were also held at Bela, Manjeshwar, Alangar, Bajpe, Puttur, Beltangady, Udupi, and Bantwal.
Inaugurating the camp, Fr Onil D’Souza, director, CODP, said that children are God’s apostles, sent forth, day by day, to preach love, hope and peace.
A total of 1123 students from Mangalore, Udupi districts and Kasaragod district of Kerala, participated in the camp.
So far CODP has supported 6277 students of Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities.
