Bangalore, Sep 13: Montifest was celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church, Bangalore with a Holy Mass in Konkani, concelebrated by four priests with Fr Faustin Lobo as the main celebrant.
Fr Lobo in his homily, stressed on the sufferings of Mary who bravely stood by her son at all times and who accepted the will of God in all her life always. Her comfort to others during her own trials was also highlighted.
Little children honoured the Mother with flowers. The choir led by Mervyn Menezes, with its harmonious performance, sang the traditional and modern hymns. The children's choir was well appreciated by the congregation. The new corn specially brought from Mangalore for the occasion was distributed to all. Sugarcane was also given to everyone.
