Mumbai, Oct 14: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be the first guest on the latest and final season of filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’.
In a preview released by the makers on Wednesday, Salman was seen candidly praising the younger generation of actors, including Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
Speaking fondly of the two actors, Salman appreciated their distinct acting styles and the uniqueness they bring to their performances.

When Karan asked him to choose between Ranbir’s performance in ‘Animal’ and Ranveer’s in ‘Dhurandhar’, Salman refused to pick a favourite, saying both had delivered outstanding performances.
“Two different kinds of performances; you cannot compare any of them. Both are fantastic actors; one has got a tremendous amount of energy, one has got intensity. Both have different styles of acting,” Salman said.
He also praised Ranveer for showing restraint in ‘Dhurandhar’. Salman highlighted how the actor, usually known for his boundless energy and larger-than-life personality, delivered a controlled and composed performance in the Aditya Dhar directorial.
During the episode, Karan also revealed how Salman agreed to be part of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ after several prominent actors turned down the supporting role.
Recalling their meeting, Karan said Salman told him, “You’ve been shopping; come narrate the film to me tomorrow.”
Karan subsequently visited Salman’s apartment and narrated the film. Salman agreed to take up the role without even listening to the entire narration.
He also accepted the offer after Karan informed him that there would be no remuneration for the special appearance.
Salman and Karan further recalled an incident during the climax sequence of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, when the camera operator accidentally filmed the entire scene in slow motion, forcing the team to reshoot it.
Salman accommodated the production by postponing his next shoot by a day and completing the sequence.
