Dubai, Sep 23: The Coastal Catholic Badminton Friends (CCBF) successfully organized the Falcon Trackers Nativity Trophy 2026 on September 20, 2026, bringing together badminton enthusiasts from across the UAE for a day of exciting competition, sportsmanship, friendship, and community bonding.
The tournament witnessed an overwhelming response, with 112 teams competing across various categories. Players showcased exceptional skill, determination, and competitive spirit, while spectators enjoyed a series of exciting matches in a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere.
The inaugural session was graced by distinguished guests Dinesh Correa, Owner of Falcon Trackers LLC, and Lancy D'Souza, Owner of Leyton Shipping LLC. The programme commenced with prayers and blessings, seeking God's guidance for the successful conduct of the event.
Addressing the gathering, Dinesh Correa delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of unity within the Konkani-speaking community. He highlighted the need for mutual support and cooperation and assured continued encouragement and assistance for future Konkani community initiatives and events.
The inaugural session was expertly compered by Donald Noronha, while Melwin Kalakul welcomed the dignitaries, sponsors, participants, and spectators. In his welcome address, he wished all players an enjoyable tournament marked by fair play, friendship, and healthy competition.
Throughout the day, participants displayed remarkable talent and sportsmanship, making the event a grand success. The tournament not only promoted badminton but also served as a platform to strengthen community bonds and foster unity among community members.
The evening session and closing ceremony were hosted by Viyon Veigas. During the prize distribution ceremony, trophies were presented by Coney Saldanha the owner of Crispy Chicky, while Johnson the owner of Kebab Bistro Restaurant distributed cash prizes to the winners.
