Mangaluru, Sep 23: Former minister B Ramanath Rai, who was hospitalised after sustaining injuries in a road accident near Sanoor in Karkala on Sunday, was discharged on Tuesday evening.
Following his discharge, doctors have advised the former minister to take rest at home for 15 days.
Rai's car was involved in a head-on collision with a private bus. While he escaped out of danger, his personal assistants Denzil Noronha and Charan, and driver Abhishek, who were travelling with him in the car, also sustained injuries.
Except for Denzil Noronha, all the other injured individuals received treatment at Yenepoya Hospital in Mangaluru and have returned home after recovering.
