Mangaluru, Sep 22: Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Edutecnicia Pvt. Ltd., through its AI research and innovation initiative REYRA AI, to promote collaborative research, advanced training and innovation in Quantum Computing, Quantum Artificial Intelligence (Quantum AI) and Quantum-inspired .The MOU was signed by Dr Aswini Dutt.R, registrar Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) and Muhammed Raees PC, founder & ceo, ReyraAI, an Initiative of Edutecnicia Pvt Ltd. along with Dr Bishrul Hafi, co-founder and cio, ReyraAI, an Initiative of Edutecnicia Pvt Ltd

A key outcome of the collaboration will be the establishment of a Quantum AI Catalyst Lab envisioned as a platform for research, innovation and technology development. The Lab will facilitate joint research initiatives, development of Quantum-inspired AI hardware accelerators, proof-of-concept solutions, expert-led training, faculty development, student capacity building and industry-oriented projects.

As a first major initiative under the partnership, Yenepoya deemed to be University will introduce certification programme in Quantum Computing and Quantum AI at Yenepoya School of Engineering & Technology, Mangalore, offering UG students, faculty members and researchers structured, hands-on exposure to these rapidly emerging technologies. The programmes will be led by an IIT Delhi-certified trainer in Quantum Computing and Machine Learning and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Edutecnicia Pvt. Ltd. and REYRA AI, an AI researcher and technology innovator with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Edge AI, AI hardware, embedded systems, FPGA-based deep learning accelerators, Robotics and Quantum Machine Learning.

The MoU will further enable joint research and publications, certification and training programmes, expert lectures, research mentorship, consultancy, technology demonstrations and interdisciplinary innovation at Yenepoya deemed to be University in general and at Yenepoya School of Engineering & Technology, Mangalore in particular. The collaboration will explore potential applications of Quantum AI and Quantum-inspired AI in areas such as healthcare, medical imaging, intelligent computing and optimisation.

The partnership marks an important step in Yenepoya deemed to be University's efforts to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and emerging technology research, while creating new opportunities for students, faculty and researchers to engage with frontier technologies. The collaboration is expected to contribute to a vibrant ecosystem for Quantum AI research, innovation, skill development and technology-driven solutions.
