New Delhi, Sep 18: Vivo and iQOO are opening registrations in India for an early preview of OriginOS 7, which will be based on Android 17, ahead of its global rollout on September 21.
The preview programme will be available to a limited number of users of the Vivo X300 Pro and iQOO 15. Each smartphone will have 500 preview slots, making the early-access programme highly limited.

For the iQOO 15, registrations will remain open until September 20, while Vivo has not announced a specific closing date for registrations for the X300 Pro.
Users can register for the OriginOS 7 preview directly through their smartphones. They need to open Settings, select System Update and tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. They can then select Upcoming Updates, followed by Closed Beta Sign-Up and View Details, before filling in the required information and submitting the application.
Registration does not guarantee selection, as only a limited number of users will be admitted to the preview programme.
The Vivo X300 Pro and iQOO 15 were launched with Android 16-based OriginOS 6. The upcoming OriginOS 7 update will bring the devices to Android 17 along with a redesigned interface, new features and performance improvements.
The preview programme will allow selected users to experience the new software before its wider global release and provide feedback on the upcoming operating system.
