New Delhi, Sep 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fifth edition of Semicon India on Thursday, with the three-day event focusing on building the entire semiconductor ecosystem, from silicon to semiconductors.

The event is expected to bring together more than 500 global and Indian companies, including startups from over 20 countries.

The 2025 edition of Semicon India, held from September 2 to 4 last year, recorded more than 35,000 registrations. More than 20,000 people visited exhibition booths in person, while over 350 companies from 18 countries participated in the summit.

The 2026 edition is expected to see participation from around 300 Indian firms, 100 foreign companies and more than 100 startups.

Seven country pavilions are expected to be set up, representing Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and Sweden, while participants from nine Indian states are also expected.

Key participants are expected to include NXP, Intel, Micron, Lam Research, SanDisk and Tata Electronics.
