Srinivas College of Pharmacy welcomes freshers with orientation programme

Mangaluru, Aug 28: An orientation programme for fresh batch of Srinivas College of Pharmacy students was held on August 28t at Valachil Campus.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, president, A Shama Rao foundation & chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, exhorted the students to develop positive attitude, do hard work and gainful knowledge for achieving success in life while delivering presidential remarks on the orientation day programme.

Prof Er Mitra S Rao, trustee member, board of governance, Srinivas University & Secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, encouraged the students to recognize their individual strengths, work with confidence and dedication, and strive to prosper in the pharmacy profession and emphasized that the entire world is looking towards India, particularly for its growing contribution to healthcare and the pharmaceutical sector.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of commitment, discipline and professional ethics in shaping a successful career in pharmacy.

Dr Viresh K Chandur, professor, gave a presentation of profession of pharmacy, detailing the various courses offered, academic opportunities, infrastructure, facilities and the overall learning environment of the institution. He also briefed the students about important academic and institutional instructions, discipline, attendance, professional conduct and their responsibilities as future pharmacy professionals.

Dr Padmavathi P Prabhu and Anvitha D anchored the programme. Dr Karunakar Hegde, professor, proposed vote of thanks.
