Jerusalem, Aug 26: A 43-year-old man has been arrested and indicted for allegedly assaulting a seven-year-old child and causing serious bodily injuries, Israel Police said.
Police also released video footage that allegedly shows the child being kicked by a man identified as his uncle while he was lying on the ground.

According to police, they received a report of the assault in a village in northern Israel on August 11. Officers from the Northern District Police reached the location and arrested the suspect.
The investigation reportedly found that the child lived in the same house as his mother and uncle. During a family argument in the presence of the uncle, the suspect allegedly took the child into the yard, kicked him while he was on the ground, then lifted him and threw him into a garbage bin.
The child suffered multiple injuries to his body and was taken to hospital for medical treatment following the incident.
The suspect was indicted on August 24 after his detention was extended several times during the investigation.
The Northern District State Attorney’s Office has requested that the man remain in custody until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
