Udupi, Aug 8: The International Federation of Karnataka Christian Association (IFKCA) has strongly condemned the murder of Congress leader, social worker and former Mudrangadi gram panchayat president David D’Souza.

IFKCA honorary president Louis Lobo recalled David D’Souza’s contributions to society, stating that he was well-loved by people from all communities in and around Mudrangadi, Shirva and Pilar for his social service activities.

David had earned public appreciation as a representative, gram panchayat member and president, besides being a committed Congress worker and entrepreneur.

He was known for extending help to people during times of difficulty and was actively involved in church organisations and various other social organisations. He also maintained close association with ISCA and participated in several social movements, Lobo said.

Louis Lobo prayed that God grant eternal rest to the departed soul and give strength to David’s wife and children to bear the pain of his untimely demise.

He also demanded that those responsible for the murder be brought to justice and awarded stringent punishment.
