Mangaluru, Jul 28: The School of Engineering, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), organised a session as part of the 'Deeksharambha' induction programme for first-year BTech students on July 27 and 28 at LF Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block.
Dr Saji Abraham, director of Operations, Tata, Bengaluru, was the resource person and inspired the students on leadership and AI skills.
Speaking on the theme 'Lead, Integrate, Follow, Excel', Dr Saji Abraham highlighted the importance of leadership, adaptability, teamwork and continuous learning for professional success.



He explained the growing role of artificial intelligence in the workplace and encouraged students to develop AI literacy, problem-solving skills, communication skills and practical experience to become industry-ready professionals.
He also emphasised the need to build technical skills, create project portfolios, gain industry exposure and continuously upgrade knowledge to meet future career challenges.
The induction programme was held under the guidance of Dr Praveen Martis SJ, vice-chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University); Dr Ruban S, dean, School of Engineering; and Dr Geetha Pinto, associate dean, School of Engineering and co-convener of the event.
The programme was coordinated by Ashwija A, Nishmitha M R, Gaurav Prasad, and Dr Aldrin Vaz.
