UAE, Jul 28: The Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF), a popular organisation among expatriate Kannadigas, has announced new office-bearers for its UAE-wide voluntary team dedicated to social welfare activities and emergency response services.

The new leadership was recently announced in association with the KCF UAE national committee. Zainuddin Haji Bellare has been appointed chairman, Samad Birali as convener, Nawaz Haji Kotekar as coordinator, and Razak Saadi Vagga as media convener.

KCF has been working for the welfare and development of expatriate Kannadigas for the past 13 years. The organisation operates not only across the UAE and other Gulf countries but also in Egypt, London and Japan.

The organisation has provided legal assistance in employment and visa fraud cases and has supported unemployed expatriates by arranging food, accommodation and return travel tickets.

In coordination with UAE government blood banks, KCF has organised several successful blood donation and health check-up camps and has received various appreciation certificates from government authorities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and several natural disasters in India and other parts of the world, KCF volunteers provided essential assistance to those affected.

The organisation has also extended financial support towards medical treatment for patients and helped cover travel expenses for those returning home for further treatment or recovery. It has actively assisted in the handling and burial of unclaimed bodies, including arrangements for local burial or transportation of the deceased to their native places.
