M'luru: Inaugural ceremony of the Campus Placement Drive 2026 held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Jul 28: The Placement & Career Guidance Cell, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, in association with the Magic Bus India Foundation, organized the Campus Placement Drive 2026 for the final-year MBA and MCA students on July 24  at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by the emcee, who highlighted the significance of the placement drive as an initiative that bridges the gap between academia and industry by providing students with opportunities to begin their professional careers.

The dignitaries invited to the dais were Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal, Sr Dr M Vinora AC, PG co-ordinator, Nikhil Teja, livelihood officer, Magic Bus India Foundation, Bassappa Khyadad, placement officer, Magic Bus India Foundation, and Deeksha, placement coordinator, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. The dignitaries were formally introduced and felicitated with floral greetings as a mark of respect and appreciation.

The ceremony continued with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and success, thereby marking the auspicious beginning of the placement drive.

Delivering the presidential address, Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal, encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunities provided through the campus recruitment drive. She emphasized the importance of professionalism, confidence, adaptability, and lifelong learning in today's dynamic employment landscape. She also appreciated the continued partnership with the Magic Bus India Foundation in strengthening students' employability and career readiness.

Nikhil Teja, Livelihood officer, Magic Bus India Foundation, addressed the gathering and motivated students to approach the recruitment process with confidence and determination. He highlighted the importance of employability skills, effective communication, a positive attitude, and continuous self-improvement in achieving career success.

Representatives from the participating companies also addressed the students, sharing valuable insights into current industry expectations, workplace culture, and recruitment processes. They encouraged students to demonstrate their skills, maintain professionalism throughout the selection process, and embrace learning opportunities to build successful careers.

The campus placement drive 2026 witnessed the participation of 11 reputed companies, offering a wide range of career opportunities for the final-year MBA and MCA students. The participating organizations included Muthoot Finance, Glow Logics, K12 Techno Services, Winman, EZY Ventures, BioQubiit Autozen, Hi-Centrix Placement Services, Magic Bus India Foundation, Iscon Excers, Reculto, and others. The drive provided students with opportunities across finance, technology, software development, customer support, recruitment, business operations, and allied sectors, enabling them to interact directly with leading recruiters and explore promising career prospects.

The inaugural ceremony concluded with the formal declaration of the Campus Placement Drive 2026 as open, marking the beginning of a day dedicated to career opportunities, professional growth, and meaningful industry–academia collaboration. The event reaffirmed the institution's commitment to empowering students with employment opportunities and preparing them for successful professional careers.
