Mangaluru: St Agnes College hosts seminar on managing academic stress for MBA students

Mangaluru, Jul 28: To aid students in understanding the causes of academic stress and equipping them with practical strategies to maintain their mental well-being while pursuing their professional education, the Department of Business Administration (MBA) of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, in association with the Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK) organised as insightful seminar titled 'Navigating academic stress in professional programmes' on July 24 in the Seminar Hall, Centenary Block for the First year MBA students.

The programme began with a warm welcome which was then followed by an address by Ronald Gomes, the president of CASK.

The resource person was Dr Paul Aquinas, chairman of postgraduate studies and research, department of social work, Mangalore University. Drawing upon his extensive academic and professional experience, he highlighted various contributing factors to stress. He emphasized the importance of self-awareness, resilience, effective planning, and seeking timely support to cope in a healthy manner.

The seminar was highly informative and interactive, encouraging students to reflect on their own experience and adopt positive coping mechanisms. The session reinforced the significance of maintaining mental wellness alongside academic excellence and motivated participants to cultivate healthy habits for both personal and professional growth.
