St Theresa's School High School celebrates Bethany Foundation Day with devotion and gratitude

Mangaluru, Jul 15: St Theresa's School, Bendur, celebrated the Bethany Foundation Day with deep faith and enthusiasm on Wednesday, July 15. The programme, meticulously organised and compered by the grade 10 students, revolved around the inspiring theme "Rooted in faith, growing in service – reaching the world."

The celebration commenced with a solemn introduction, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the floral tribute to the Servant of God, Msgr Raymond Francis Camillus (RFC) Mascarenhas, founder of the Bethany Congregation. A meaningful prayer service invoked God's blessings on the Bethany family and all those committed to its mission of education and compassionate service.

The programme was graced by the chief guest, Sr Shanthi Priya BS, assistant superior general of the Bethany Congregation. Among the distinguished dignitaries present were Sr Shaila BS, correspondent of St Theresa's School; Sr Lourdes BS, principal; Sr Vidya BS, vice principal; Sr Chrisette BS; Sr Sharmila BS; and Sr Felcy BS.

A graceful welcome dance set the tone for the celebration, followed by the welcome address. The Grade 10 students presented an inspiring programme portraying the remarkable journey of the Bethany Congregation from its humble beginnings in Mangalore to its global mission of faith-filled service.

The dignitaries were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated service to the Church and society. The students also rendered a melodious wishing song expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Bethany Congregation. In her inspiring address, Sr Shanthi Priya encouraged the students to remain deeply rooted in faith, strive for excellence, and embrace a life of selfless service, following the ideals of the founder, RFC Mascarenhas.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the singing of the Bethany Anthem, renewing everyone's commitment to carry forward the Bethany charism of faith, love, humility, and service.

The celebration was a fitting tribute to the rich legacy of the Bethany Congregation, inspiring the school community to remain rooted in faith while growing in service to humanity.
