Iran relocates exam centres near military sites over security concerns

Daijiworld Media Network – Tehran

Tehran, Jul 15: Iran's Education Ministry has ordered the relocation of examination centres located near sensitive and military facilities to safer venues, citing concerns that they could be affected by any further attacks amid heightened regional tensions.

The ministry announced that examinations scheduled at centres situated close to military or strategic installations will instead be held at alternative locations, including public halls, community centres and religious institutions, to ensure the safety of students, teachers and examination staff.

The decision comes as authorities continue to take precautionary measures following recent military escalation in the region and concerns over the possibility of renewed attacks.

Education officials said the relocation is intended to minimise risks to students while ensuring that examination schedules are not disrupted. The ministry has directed educational institutions to inform candidates about the revised examination venues and make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the tests.

The move is part of a broader effort by Iranian authorities to safeguard public services and educational activities as security concerns persist across parts of the country. Officials said examinations will continue as planned at the new venues, with additional safety measures in place where required.
