Mangaluru: St Mary’s High School, Falnir holds PTA general body meeting

Mangaluru, Jul 11: The PTA general body meeting was held at St Mary’s High School, Falnir. The programme began with a prayer song by the students. Ravitha Nayak delivered the welcome address.

The chief guest, Ganesh Kamath M, assistant professor, department of science & humanities, Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of parents in the upbringing of children. He said, “Home is the first school and mother is the first teacher.” He emphasized the role of parents in inculcating good manners, discipline, and developing the overall personality of students.

The joint secretary, Sr Celine Vera AC, was present on the occasion. The headmistress, Sr Asha Cynthia Fernandes, briefed the parents about the rules and regulations of the school. The SSLC students who secured excellent results, including the top scorers of both English and Kannada Medium, were felicitated during the programme.

Flavy Misquith compered the programme, and Denzil Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with gratitude expressed to all the participants.
