Panaji, Jul 9: Goa Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Digambar Kamat has announced that the six-lane elevated flyover at Porvorim will be inaugurated on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Speaking at the 237th Mid-Term Council Meeting of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC), Kamat said the long-awaited infrastructure project is in the final stages of completion and will be opened to the public ahead of the festive season.

The minister said the elevated flyover is expected to substantially ease traffic congestion along the busy Porvorim stretch, one of Goa's most heavily used road corridors.
Once operational, the six-lane flyover is expected to improve traffic flow and enhance connectivity for commuters travelling through the route, providing relief from frequent bottlenecks in the area.
