St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) introduces ‘Konkani Pratibha I & II’ certificate courses

Mangaluru, Jul 7: The Institute of Konkani, School of Languages and Cultural Studies, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, has invited applications for its Konkani Pratibha I & II Certificate Courses in Konkani Language and Cultural Studies. The programme is open to undergraduate students as well as the general public who wish to learn the Konkani language and gain an understanding of its rich cultural heritage.

The course is offered in two levels—Konkani Pratibha I and Konkani Pratibha II. Each level is of six months' duration (one semester) comprising 30 hours of instruction and is conducted in hybrid mode, combining classroom and online learning. Candidates who have successfully completed Konkani Pratibha I are eligible to enrol for Konkani Pratibha II.

The programme features an AI-empowered syllabus, flexibility to study Konkani in Roman, Devanagari, or Kannada script, and a blended teaching approach with periodic online and classroom sessions.

Applicants should have passed PUC (or equivalent). The course fee is Rs 500 per level.

Interested candidates may submit their applications on or before July 31 for Konkani Pratibha I.
