Udupi, July 7: Glowinstar Integrated School celebrated Van Mahotsav Day with great enthusiasm to promote environmental awareness and emphasize the importance of protecting nature.

Addressing the gathering, Keshav Poojary, beat forester encouraged students to develop a deep appreciation for nature and take responsibility for protecting the environment. He also highlighted the significance of forest conservation, afforestation, preserving greenery, and safeguarding natural resources for future generations. Principal of the school Dr T J Quadros, also addressed the students, emphasizing the indispensable role of forests in maintaining ecological balance and sustaining life on Earth.

The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural programme. Students of LKG, UKG, and class I presented a meaningful skit conveying the importance of environmental conservation. Students of classes II and III captivated the audience with an energetic action song, while the students of class VI presented a lively and colourful dance performance.

The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome address. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the chief guest, Junaid Akhtar, forest range officer, along with Keshav Poojary, beat forester.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone inspired and motivated to protect, preserve, and nurture nature for a greener and more sustainable future.
