Mangaluru: Srinivas University promotes drug-free living through creative placard competition

Mangaluru, Jul 6: The anti-drug and anti-ragging committee of the department of BBA, Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC), Srinivas University, organised a flash card/placard competition under the theme ‘Say No to Drugs’ on July 1.

The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The event was organised under the guidance of dean Dr Venkatesh S Amin and head of the department Prof Shilpa K, and was coordinated by Prof Shwetha N S and Prof Usha.

Students enthusiastically participated by designing creative and impactful flash cards and placards featuring powerful anti-drug messages. Through meaningful slogans, innovative artwork, and attractive designs, participants effectively conveyed the importance of staying away from drugs and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The judges appreciated the creativity, originality, and awareness reflected in the presentations, and the best performers were recognised for their outstanding efforts. The competition successfully sensitised students to the dangers of drug abuse and inspired them to contribute towards building a drug-free campus and society.
