Udupi, Jul 2: St Cecily's High School successfully organized its annual Prathibha Karanji on June 30, providing a dynamic platform for students to showcase their creativity, talent, and intellectual abilities. The event was held in the school auditorium amidst great enthusiasm and active participation from students across various classes.

Addressing the students, chief guest Sumithra encouraged them to identify and nurture their hidden talents, emphasizing that participation in co-curricular activities plays a vital role in personality development, confidence building, and overall growth.

Following the inaugural ceremony, a wide range of competitions were organized under the Prathibha Karanji. Students enthusiastically participated in Elocution (Kannada, English, and Hindi), pick and speak, Bharatanatyam, Janapada Geethe, Bhavageethe, Kavali, Mimicry, Dharmika Pathana (Urdu and Sanskrit), drawing, rangoli, science model making, and debate. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with a large number of students displaying remarkable talent, creativity, and confidence.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by chief guest Sumithra, a faculty member of the school. The function was presided over by Sr Preethi J Crasta A C, headmistress, in the presence of Sr Lavina Anitha A C. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, along with the school pupil leader, assistant school pupil leader, and activity minister, marked the formal inauguration of the programme.

The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service presented by the students of class 8 A. Ahana, activity minister of class 10 B, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The entire event was coordinated by Edwin Mendonca, physical education instructor. The vote of thanks was proposed by Judith Naik of class 10 A. The inaugural programme was compered by Manikanta of class 10 A.
