Washington, Jul 1: The United States has removed four Indian companies from its Russia-related sanctions list, providing relief to firms that had been subjected to restrictions under measures targeting Russia.
The decision came after the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) updated its Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List and released its latest quarterly report on licensing activities under the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act (TSRA).

The four Indian companies removed from the sanctions list are RRG Engineering Technologies Private Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited, both based in Hyderabad, Galaxy Bearings Ltd of Ahmedabad, and Shaurya Aeronautics Private Limited of New Delhi.
The companies had earlier been designated under Executive Order 14024, part of the US sanctions framework imposed in connection with Russia. Their removal means they are no longer subject to the specific sanctions under that programme.
However, OFAC did not disclose the reasons behind the decision to delist the companies.
Meanwhile, the US also announced fresh sanctions against individuals and entities allegedly linked to Mexico's Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
Two Mexican nationals — Oscar Guillermo Juraidini Silva and J. Refugio Ruiz Villagomez — were added to the SDN List under counterterrorism authorities and Executive Order 14059, which targets individuals involved in the global illicit drug trade.
The Treasury Department also sanctioned nine entities allegedly associated with the designated individuals and the cartel. The entities include logistics, transportation, financial services and real estate companies based primarily in Mexico, along with one company registered in the United Kingdom.
In a separate development, OFAC released its quarterly report covering licensing activities from January to March 2026 under the TSRA, detailing applications processed for exports of agricultural commodities, medicines and medical devices to Iran.
The latest update highlights the US government's continued review of its sanctions regime, while the removal of the four Indian firms marks a significant relief for the affected companies.
