Kundapur: Moodlakatte Nursing College celebrates International Yoga Day

Kundapur, Jun 23: Moodlakatte Nursing College celebrated International Yoga Day on June 22, at 10 am in the college auditorium in collaboration with the Government Taluk Ayush Hospital, Kundapura. The programme was organised to promote the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries. Dr Shilpa K, medical officer, Government Taluk Ayush Hospital, Kundapura, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The programme was attended by principal Jennifer Freeda Menezes, vice principal Rupashree K S, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Shilpa K highlighted the significance of yoga in leading a healthy lifestyle. She encouraged students and staff to practice yoga regularly to improve physical fitness, mental peace, and overall well-being.

A yoga demonstration session was conducted, during which students and staff actively participated in performing various yoga postures (asanas) and breathing exercises under proper guidance.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, principal, vice principal, management, staff, and students for their valuable presence and enthusiastic participation. The event was a great success and inspired everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine for a healthier and more balanced life.
