Karkala, Jun 21: International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and significance at Christ King Educational Institutions, Karkala.

Vinayak Kudva, a member of the Karkala Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti, attended the programme as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of yoga in leading a healthy lifestyle. "Yoga is one of the simplest and most effective ways to maintain good health. Practicing yoga every day improves concentration, self-confidence, and overall health among students," he said.

Speaking on the occasion, I Christopher Kotian, headmaster of the primary section, stressed that yoga should be given equal importance alongside academics for the holistic development and brighter future of students.

The programme was compered by Reena, a teacher of the high school section.
