Kanpur, Jun 13: A young competitive examination aspirant from Kanpur has written an emotional letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing deep faith in his leadership and urging that no compromise be made regarding his security amid growing global uncertainties.
The letter, written by Ashutosh Yadav, comes against the backdrop of escalating tensions in West Asia, particularly the Iran-Israel conflict, and concerns over its potential impact on global trade, energy supplies and economic stability.

In his message, Ashutosh said the current international situation has created challenges for economies around the world, affecting supply chains and fuel availability. He noted that Prime Minister Modi’s repeated emphasis on self-reliance, discipline and prioritising national interests continues to inspire millions of Indians during difficult times.
Expressing solidarity with the government's efforts, the Kanpur resident wrote that his family was prepared to make personal sacrifices in the national interest. He said they had decided to reduce dependence on non-essential imported products to help lessen pressure on the country's foreign exchange reserves.
A significant portion of the letter focused on concerns regarding reports suggesting reductions in expenditure related to the Prime Minister’s security arrangements. While praising Modi’s simplicity and willingness to lead by example, Ashutosh stressed that the Prime Minister’s safety must remain a matter of utmost importance.
Describing Modi as more than just an elected leader, he wrote that the Prime Minister represents hope, confidence and inspiration for countless Indians and should therefore be afforded the highest level of protection.
In one of the most emotional passages of the letter, Ashutosh stated that ordinary citizens could endure hardships and make sacrifices if required, but would never tolerate any threat to India’s dignity, sovereignty or national interests.
He further urged the Prime Minister to ensure that adequate security measures remain in place, arguing that the country continues to need his leadership during a period of global uncertainty and geopolitical challenges.
Recalling the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashutosh praised Modi’s role in guiding the nation through one of its most difficult phases, saying the confidence and optimism generated during that period continue to motivate people across the country.
The letter also conveyed greetings and blessings from members of his family, including his grandmother Indrani Devi and parents Shyam Singh and Sudha Yadav. He additionally remembered his late younger brother, Abhishek Yadav, whom he described as an admirer of the Prime Minister and his vision for the country.
Concluding the letter, Ashutosh expressed confidence that India would successfully navigate present global challenges and move steadily towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047 under Modi’s leadership.
The letter reflects the sentiments of a citizen who views the Prime Minister as a symbol of national aspiration and highlights the emotional connection many supporters feel with the vision of a self-reliant and developed India.
