Mangaluru, Jun 11: Under the aegis of Abhaya, a dorum for women, a counselling session aimed at promoting mental health awareness and emotional well-being was conducted for the I PUC science students on June 3 and the I PUC commerce students on June 10 by the college counsellor, Dr Meena Lobo.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Meena Lobo highlighted the importance of understanding mental health and recognising the various factors that influence emotional well-being. She spoke extensively on stress management and shared practical strategies to help students cope with academic and personal pressures effectively.























The session also emphasized the significance of seeking counselling and professional support whenever required. She encouraged students to overcome the stigma associated with asking for help and assured them that seeking guidance is a sign of strength and self-awareness.
Further, she stressed the need to build supportive communities based on empathy, understanding, and mutual respect. The counsellor also discussed the importance of self-care practices, resilience, and personal growth in navigating life's challenges.
The interactive session provided valuable insights and inspired students to prioritize their mental and emotional well-being. The students benefitted from this enriching session.
