Mangaluru, Jun 5: Ladyhill School (ICSE), Urwa, Mangaluru, welcomed the commencement of the academic year 2026–27 with joy, enthusiasm, and a renewed spirit of hope as students from grades I to X returned to campus, eager to embark on another enriching journey of learning, growth, and discovery.

The campus buzzed with positivity and excitement as students, accompanied by their parents, entered the portals of Ladyhill School. Welcomed with the inspiring theme, 'Let’s Learn, Let’s Grow, Let’s Shine Together', the school resonated with an atmosphere of warmth, enthusiasm, and anticipation for the new academic year.

Adding a touch of fun and festivity, the specially arranged selfie corner drew enthusiastic participation from students and parents alike, making the first day of school both memorable and enjoyable.

The day commenced with a meaningful prayer service centered on the symbolic elements of soil, seed, water, sunlight, and a dry twig, each representing the nurturing forces that help young minds grow and blossom. The prayer beautifully reflected the school's commitment to holistic education, character formation, and personal development. The gathering concluded with the soulful rendition of the school anthem, instilling a strong sense of pride, unity, and belonging among the students and staff.

A special welcome was accorded to the new principal, Sr Therese Teena AC, and KG coordinator, Sr Marlin Cristal D’Cunha AC. They were warmly received into the Ladyhill family by vice principal Lavita Correa, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the school’s journey.

Addressing the assembly for the first time, principal Sr Therese Teena AC delivered a thoughtful and inspiring message to the students. Drawing inspiration from the school's patroness Mother Mary and Venerable Mother Veronica, the Foundress of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation, she encouraged the students to imbibe their values of faith, service, and dedication. She urged them to embrace each day as an opportunity to learn something new, extend a helping hand to others, and continually strive to become the best version of themselves. Her motivating words set a positive tone for the academic year, inspiring students to pursue their goals with purpose, compassion, and perseverance.

The principal also expressed her sincere appreciation to former principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC and the dedicated teaching staff whose unwavering commitment and service have played a vital role in the growth and excellence of the institution. She further extended a warm welcome to the new staff members, inviting them to become an integral part of the Ladyhill family and contribute to its rich tradition of educational excellence. Addressing the students, she also shared a few important guidelines on being responsible and disciplined members of the school, encouraging them to uphold the values and standards that define Ladyhill School.

The inaugural assembly set a positive and inspiring tone for the academic year ahead, one filled with opportunities for learning, growth, service, and achievement. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, leaving students and staff with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared commitment to work together in fostering a vibrant and successful school community.

Following the welcome assembly, orientation sessions were conducted by the class teachers in their respective classrooms. During these sessions, students were acquainted with the school's vision, mission, and core values, while also gaining an understanding of the rules, guidelines, and expectations that shape the school. The interaction provided a meaningful start to the academic year, helping students settle into their new classes with enthusiasm, confidence, and a positive outlook.

As the Ladyhill family embarked on a new academic journey, the spirit of the day echoed a meaningful truth: “Every child is a seed of promise, and every new beginning is an opportunity to grow, blossom, and shine.”
