Mangaluru, May 27: The Annual Day celebration of St Aloysius Industrial Training Institute was held with great enthusiasm on May 27 in the auditorium of St Aloysius College Higher Primary School. The programme commenced with a traditional Chende Dance, creating a festive and vibrant atmosphere. This was followed by the introduction by the masters of ceremony and a graceful welcome dance presented by the students.
As part of the cultural programme, the students performed the song ‘Give Me Some Sunshine', which was appreciated by the audience. The annual report of the institution was then presented, highlighting the academic achievements, skill development activities, placement opportunities, and various accomplishments of the students during the academic year.





























The dignitaries on the dais were warmly welcomed by the director, Fr John D’Souza SJ. The programme was presided over by Fr Brian Pereira SJ, rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Mangaluru. The chief guest of the function was Santhosh John Rodrigues, managing partner of Karnataka Agencies.
The guests of honour included:
- Romius D’Souza – Alumnus and retired JTO
- Neelesh Antony D’Souza – Alumnus and senior HVAC Technician, Vectrus/V2X, US Base in Iraq
- Sunil Francis Cutinho – Alumnus and proprietor, Hi-Tech Engineering Works, Kuppepadav
- Mohammed Ashiq – Alumnus and proprietor, SM Car Care
- Abdul Shahil – Alumnus and proprietor, Bismillah Auto Works
- Sachinraj Bangera – Alumnus and senior manager-service, Trident BharatBenz
- Naveen Rasquinha – president, Alumni Association
- Pushpalatha – Alumna and team leader, Instatech IT Solutions
The dignitaries were honoured on stage with ceremonial stoles and mementoes. Prizes were distributed to the toppers of the NCVET examinations for the academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Certificates were also awarded to the students who successfully completed their diploma courses during the academic year 2024-25.
In his message, chief guest Santhosh John Rodrigues encouraged the students to work hard with dedication and confidence. He emphasized that ITI students have a bright future with numerous career opportunities and motivated them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs.
Fr Brian Pereira SJ, in his presidential address, appreciated the efforts of the staff and students in organizing the programme successfully. He highlighted the importance of teamwork, creativity, honesty, and commitment in achieving success in life. He also encouraged the students to think differently and strive for excellence in their respective fields.
The media team was honoured during the programme for their support and contribution. The stage programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the convener, Ramya.
The second session featured a variety of cultural performances including Retro Song Dance, the song ‘Lokadha Kalaji,’ skits, filmy dance by diploma students, and folk dances. The performances entertained the audience and received loud applause and appreciation.
Among those present on the occasion were principal Roshan D’Souza, vice principal Alwyn Menezes, training officers Noel Lobo and Wilson N, programme coordinator Ramya, student council president Rivan D’Souza, cultural secretary Thejas, faculty members, parents, alumni, and students.
The programme was compered by students Anitha, Deepthi, Manvith, Preethi, Manuel, Royson, Niveditha, Rivan, Nidhish, Dilshad Nadaf, Afif, Rujina, Christina, Jaison, Tashrifa, Swastika, and Ankitha. The event concluded successfully in an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
