Nashik, May 24: Two women were injured, one of them seriously, after a tractor driver allegedly tried to run them over during a land dispute in Nashik district. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

According to reports, the incident took place in the Pimpalgaon Baswant area following an ongoing dispute over agricultural land within the Gosavi family.

The disputed land case is currently pending before a court, which had reportedly issued a stay order on the property. Despite this, some family members allegedly brought a tractor on rent and began ploughing the land.

The accused have been identified as Rishikesh Nikhil Gosavi, Abhishek Ninad Gosavi and several others.

When Ajay Gosavi along with Rashmi Ajay Gosavi and Suvarna Subhash Gosavi approached the tractor driver to question him, an argument reportedly broke out between the two sides.

During the altercation, the tractor driver allegedly drove the vehicle towards the women in an attempt to kill them. The entire incident was captured on camera.

Rashmi Ajay Gosavi and Suvarna Subhash Gosavi sustained injuries and were admitted to a hospital in Pimpalgaon for treatment.

Police said one of the injured women remains in serious condition.

Family members of the victims alleged that despite the seriousness of the incident, police registered only minor offences against the accused. They also claimed that the accused forcibly entered the disputed land despite the court’s stay order.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
