Mumbai, May 24: The Central Railway’s Mumbai division will carry out a scheduled mega block on its suburban network today to undertake essential engineering and maintenance work, leading to partial disruption of services on key routes.
There will be no mega block on the Western Railway suburban section, officials confirmed.
On the Main Line, the block will be implemented on the Matunga–Mulund slow corridor from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm. During this period, Up slow line trains departing Thane between 11:07 am and 3:51 pm will be diverted to the Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga before returning to the slow line.

These trains will halt at major stations including Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion, and are expected to reach destinations with a delay of around 15 minutes.
Services will not stop at Vidyavihar, Kanjur Marg and Nahur stations on both Up and Down lines during the block period. Trains arriving or departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 11 am and 5 pm are also expected to be delayed by approximately 15 minutes.
On the Harbour Line, a separate block will be in effect on the CSMT–Chunabhatti/Bandra Down route from 11:40 am to 4:40 pm and on the Up route from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
Special suburban services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) at 20-minute intervals during the maintenance window. Passengers have also been permitted to use Main Line and Western Railway routes until 6 pm today to ease travel disruptions.
