Margao, May 14: Even as authorities conducted a “scene recreation” exercise at the location where home guard Dinesh Gaude was found dead, the Goa Commission for SC/ST has directed the South Goa district collector to conduct a detailed inquiry into the alleged breach of secrecy surrounding the post-mortem report in the case.
The exercise was carried out on Wednesday evening with the participation of forensic experts, police personnel and forest department officials.

Dr Madhu S G Ghodkirekar, Head of Department and associate professor in forensic medicine at Goa Medical College currently posted at the South Goa district hospital, also took part in the exercise.
Speaking to the media later, Dr Ghodkirekar stated that no senior forest officials were present during the reconstruction exercise and that only junior officers had been deputed by the department.
Meanwhile, the Goa Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes directed the South Goa collector to carry out a proper inquiry into the alleged leakage of confidential details related to the post-mortem examination report.
The commission has also sought an action-taken report from the district administration.
The matter was taken up by the commission following a complaint filed by Dr Ghodkirekar regarding the alleged breach of confidentiality that is required to be maintained in post-mortem proceedings.
Officials noted that the deceased home guard, Dinesh Gaude, belonged to the Scheduled Tribe community.
