Man rescued from train roof at Kalyan Station, services briefly disrupted

Mumbai, May 5: A Badlapur–Dadar AC local train was halted at Kalyan station on Tuesday after a 25-year-old man was spotted travelling on the rooftop, prompting swift action by railway authorities.

Officials said the overhead electric supply was immediately switched off to prevent the risk of electrocution. A rescue operation was launched and completed within 12 minutes, safely bringing the man down.

According to preliminary information, the individual is believed to be mentally unwell. He was taken into care following the rescue.

Train services on the route were briefly disrupted during the operation but were restored soon after authorities cleared the situation.
