Guirim, Apr 30: A tragic incident occurred in Guirim, Goa, where a schoolgirl lost her life after being struck by a hockey ball during a practice session on the school grounds.
The accident took place on the final day of practice while she was playing, when the ball hit her with significant force, leaving her critically injured. She was immediately taken to the District Hospital in Mapusa for urgent medical care.
Despite efforts by doctors to save her, the girl later succumbed to her injuries, leaving the local community in shock.
