Mumbai, Apr 29: The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions in central Mumbai on May 1 in view of the Maharashtra Day Parade at Shivaji Park, with several roads to remain closed or diverted between 6 am and noon.
According to the advisory, Keluskar Road South and North will remain closed to all vehicular traffic, except for invitees.

S K Bole Road will operate as a one-way stretch from Siddhivinayak Junction to Portuguese Church Junction, while vehicular entry on Swatantraveer Savarkar Road will be restricted between Siddhivinayak Junction and Yes Bank Junction.
Police have also issued diversion routes for motorists travelling towards the western suburbs and South Mumbai to ease congestion during the parade.
No-parking restrictions will be enforced on Keluskar Road South and North, Pandurang Naik Road, and N C Kelkar Road from Gadkari Chowk to Kotwal Garden.
Parking for police, BMC and PWD vehicles has been designated at Veer Savarkar Smarak Hall, Vanita Samaj Hall, Mahatma Gandhi Swimming Pool and Kohinoor PPL in Dadar.
As part of the event, the ceremonial route march will begin from Shivaji Park through Gate No. 5 and proceed along Keluskar Road North, Veer Savarkar Road and Keluskar Road South before concluding at Narali Baug.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the affected stretches during the restricted hours, while traffic personnel and signage will be deployed to assist commuters.
Citizens without car passes attending the event have been asked to park their vehicles at the BMC’s Kohinoor Parking Lot in Dadar.
