Morena, Apr 10: Seven members of a family were injured, including three critically, after their van collided with a tractor-trolley on a highway in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Friday, police said.

The accident occurred around 10.30 am on National Highway 44 under the Sarai Chhola police station limits, about 15 km from the district headquarters.

The victims, belonging to a Jain family from Uttar Pradesh, were rushed to a district hospital, officials said.

According to police, the family was travelling to the Sonagiri Jain Temple in Datia district when their vehicle crashed into a tractor-trolley near the Madhya Pradesh–Rajasthan border.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the passengers were eating inside the van at the time of the accident, which led to severe damage to the vehicle.
