Buldana, Mar 16: Authorities seized 14 domestic LPG cylinders during a raid on a hotel in Buldana following complaints about the shortage of household cooking gas cylinders in the city.

Acting on the complaints, the district administration launched a crackdown on the illegal use of domestic LPG cylinders in commercial establishments. Vitthal Kumre led the operation and conducted raids on several hotels and businesses suspected of misusing subsidised domestic cylinders.

During the enforcement drive, officials inspected around 40 hotels and other establishments across the city. In one of the raids, authorities seized 14 domestic LPG cylinders that were allegedly being used illegally for commercial purposes.

Officials said further action will be taken against establishments found violating regulations regarding the use of domestic gas cylinders meant for household consumption. The administration has also warned businesses against using subsidised LPG cylinders in commercial kitchens.
