Mangaluru, Mar 4: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru hosted the Kindergarten Convocation Ceremony for batch 1 with UKG A, B and C on February 28 for the academic year 2025–2026. The event was filled with pride, joy, and heartfelt emotions as the little graduates bid farewell to their kindergarten years.
The programme began with a graceful procession as the tiny scholars marched in alongside the chief guest, the principal, and members of the management. A soulful prayer led by the UKG students set a solemn and meaningful tone for the celebration.
Through a delightful welcome performance, the LKG students confidently showcased the skills they had learned throughout the year and affirmed the readiness of the little graduates to soar ‘Higher and Nobler,’ the cherished motto of the school.

This was followed by a warm welcome address by Leon, Miara, Eva, and Ashlyn, who also introduced the chief guest, Sr Marie Evelyn AC, a senior clinical psychologist, Mangaluru.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the graduation pledge administered by the principal Sr Melissa which was solemnly taken by the UKG graduates. In her address, she encouraged the young graduates to dream big, shine bright, and achieve greater success as they move forward in life.
The UKG students then rendered a melodious graduation song, followed by heartfelt expressions of gratitude. Energetic action dances by the nursery and LKG students added colour and vibrancy to the celebration, delighting the audience and making the event even more memorable.
One of the most touching segments of the ceremony was the Parents’ Impressions. A parent from each of the section shared their heartfelt experiences, expressing sincere gratitude to the management, principal, and teachers for their unwavering dedication and loving care. They fondly reflected on their children’s remarkable transformation from shy toddlers into confident, expressive, and independent learners. They acknowledged that the school had not only nurtured academic growth but also instilled strong values, discipline, creativity, and self-confidence in their little ones.
Adding deeper meaning to the occasion, chief guest Sr Marie Evelyn warmly congratulated the graduates and shared a powerful reflection on ‘GPS’, not the Global Positioning System, but a life guide that places God, Parents, Self and Society in the right order of priority. She further elaborated on the ‘ABC of Life’ for parents: A – Availability, Appreciation, Acceptance, and Affection; B – Building strong Bonding with their children; C – Fostering Connectivity, Communication, and Consciousness.
She gently reminded parents that children learn more from what they observe than from what they are told, encouraging them to be mindful role models as they guide their young ones through life’s journey.
The felicitation ceremony was a proud and memorable moment as the UKG students, accompanied by their parents, walked confidently to the dais to receive their graduation certificates from the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Chiranth, Naifa, Jevin, Rihanvi, and Joanna. The ceremony was smoothly and confidently compered by Druvi, Manvik, Takshay, Samanvi, Vibha, and Aniketh, the young Masters of Ceremony whose poise and clarity added charm and grace to the entire celebration.
The convocation ceremony stood as a beautiful milestone, celebrating not just academic readiness, but the joyful growth and bright beginnings of the school’s youngest achievers.
