Mumbai, Mar 3: As winter bids adieu, the city is set for a warm spell this week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting daytime temperatures around 35°C, peaking on Holi, March 4, when mercury may rise to 37°C. Nights are expected to be slightly cooler, ranging between 22°C and 23°C.
The IMD predicts mostly clear and dry conditions over the coming days, providing ideal weather for Holi celebrations. March 3 will see temperatures between 22°C and 35°C, March 4 between 23°C and 37°C, and March 5 between 22°C and 36°C.

Meanwhile, the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) improved to 88 on Tuesday morning, as per the Ministry of Earth Sciences, but pollution levels remain above safe limits. Health experts caution that vulnerable groups, including children, senior citizens, and individuals with respiratory issues, should take precautions.
Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure during peak hours, and take necessary measures to mitigate the impact of warm and slightly polluted conditions during the festive season.
