Mangaluru: School of Engineering at St Aloysius University celebrates National Science Day 2026

Mangaluru, Mar 2: The School of Engineering of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) celebrated National Science Day 2026 on campus under the theme ‘Vigyantra – Engineering the Future with Science.’ The programme was held at the L F Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block.

Dr Ronald Nazareth, registrar, and Asha Abraham, director, LCRI Block, were present. Dr S Ruban, dean, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the need to foster research-oriented thinking among students.

Chief guest Dr Antony Sylvan D’Souza, dean and professor of Anatomy, Father Muller Medical College, emphasised scientific inquiry and interdisciplinary innovation.

Guest of honour Dr Mohit P Tahiliani of National Institute of Technology Karnataka underscored consistency and clarity as key to sustained success.

The event was coordinated by faculty coordinators Dr Geetha Pinto and Tenson Jose along with student conveners Shashwath Shetty and Mohammed Safaf. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Geetha M Pinto, associate dean, School of Engineering.
