Udupi: Mega health check-up camp held at SMVITM Campus

Udupi, Feb 26: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, in association with National Service Scheme (NSS) and Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of SMVITM conducted a free mega health check-up camp on February 25 at the college campus.

The health check-up camp was held as part of the institution’s social outreach initiative with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare awareness and encouraging early diagnosis among the public.

Free consultations were provided in general medicine, cardiology, Eye & ENT, OBG, orthopaedics, dermatology, head & neck, dental (screening), diet & nutrition, along with blood pressure and random blood sugar checks.

A team of experienced doctors and medical professionals offered consultations, guidance, and necessary referrals. Many participants benefited from this free Health check-up creating awareness about lifestyle-related health conditions.

The event reflected SMVITM’s strong commitment toward community welfare and social responsibility. Sachin Prabhu, NSS Coordinator; Megha Rani, Women Empowerment Cell coordinator; NSS and WEC volunteers, actively participated in organizing and ensuring the smooth conduct of the camp.

The management appreciated the joint efforts of NSS and WEC teams for successfully conducting the programme and extending healthcare support to the community.
