Doha, Feb 25: Bunts Qatar, a premier socio-cultural organization, hosted its highly anticipated Annual Day celebration, ‘Buntotsava 2026,’ at the DPS MIS School Auditorium in Al Wakra. The event involving "Gana, Hasya and Kala Vaibhava," was a vibrant showcase of the community's rich cultural heritage and member ‘s artistic talent.
The festivities commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the honourable guests, president, advisors and management committee members. Cultural secretary Akshini V Shetty in her opening note expressed the significance of the event and introduced the guest emcee Shreyas Shetty, who steered the evening with charisma and flawless vocabulary.
In the formal public function president Naveen Shetty thanked all those who have supported and appreciated the fellow MC members, volunteers and participants for their dedicated unity and effort. In a significant highlight, the association honoured two distinguished guest who have come from India in recognition and appreciation of their achievements and social contributions.



























Vishu Shetty Ambalapady: The renowned social worker was conferred with the "Seva Sampada" award which was established since the inception of Sangha. He delivered a heart touching speech, sharing his extensive experiences in social service.
Rajendar Shetty: The founder chairman of Panjurli Group of Hotels was bestowed with “Bunt Sadhaka “Award. He shared his inspiring journey as a successful entrepreneur.
Chief guest of the event was Harish Pandey, first secretary at the Embassy of India, Doha, who was felicitated by the dignitaries. Event sponsor Dr Ravi Shetty, founder president of Bunts Qatar and present president of Karnataka Sangha Qatar, was also honoured for his continued support.
In their address both appreciated the effort of Bunts Qatar for the impressive celebrations and passed on apt social message. Advisory chairman Dr Padmashree Shetty, advisors Navaneeth Shetty and Deepak Shetty joined on stage to conferee the award to achievers. Bunts Qatar Annual Souvenir Gari released by chief guest and various sponsors were honored with mementos for their support and presence at the event.
Media representatives, event team and team leaders, volunteers, technical team, and choreography team and artistes were invited on stage and honoured by dignitaries. All president and representatives of Karnataka based associations were welcomed by draping with Bunts Qatar special shawl. General secretary Sukaram Shetty presented the annual report, and treasurer Sunil Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.
Cultural highlights: Gana, Hasya, and Kala Vaibhava
The cultural segment launched with a soulful welcome dance, followed by impressive solo performances from young singers Shodhan Shetty and Divya Nidhi Rai.
Dance & Yakshagana: The audience was captivated by a 15-minute high-energy fusion dance by the community's children. This was followed by a majestic Yakshagana performance by in-house members, featuring elaborate & colorful costumes and traditional choreography.
Comedy (Hasya): The auditorium erupted in laughter in response to hilarious a performance by Team Prashamsa, featuring the legendary "Tulunada Manikya" Aravind Bolar and Bale Telipale fame Prasanna Sandeep and Sharath. Adding to the humor, popular stand-up comedian Manu Handadi entertained the crowd with his signature wit.
Musical Finale: The evening concluded on a high note as young singers performed solo and duet fusion hits. The live DJ remix sets brought the audience to their feet, turning the auditorium into a celebratory dance floor.
Buntotsava-2026 successfully provided a memorable platform for members and children to showcase their talent, further strengthening the bonding among the Bunts community in Qatar.
