Mangaluru, Feb 24: Carmel School CBSE celebrated World Thinking Day with great enthusiasm and a spirit of unity on February 23 in the school auditorium. The programme was organised by the Scouts and Guides unit to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Robert Baden-Powell and Lady Olave Baden-Powell the founder of the global Scout Movement.
The celebration commenced with a solemn prayer service seeking blessings for harmony, peace, and friendship. The programme continued with a graceful welcome dance, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by teacher Shilpa. The chief guest was formally introduced by Shilas. This was followed by the presentation of the annual report highlighting the achievements and activities of the Scouts and Guides unit.

The guide students presented a meaningful skit emphasising the moral values required for a disciplined life. The cultural segment also included a soulful performance by the scouts and guides that reflected teamwork, responsibility, and dedication towards a better society.
In his address, Bharathraj, the chief guest encouraged the students to uphold the principles of scouting and guiding in their daily lives. Certificates were also distributed to the students who completed various examinations.
The programme was compered by Anshika and Naima Sara Varghese, welcomed by teacher Shilpa and it concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Laasya, leaving the audience inspired to carry forward the spirit of solidarity and service.
