Karkala: World Scouts Day celebrated at Christ King Education Institution

Karkala, Feb 23: World Scouts Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Christ King Educational Institution in Karkala.

The programme began with an all-religion prayer led by Ganesh Jalsuru, secretary of the local Scouts and Guides association, who attended as the chief guest.

District vice president of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Savithri Manohar, addressed the students and created awareness about the objectives and action plans of Scouts and Guides through songs and interactive activities.

On this occasion, various competitions and activities such as without fire cooking, bouquet making, and drawing were organized for Cubs and Bulbuls, Bunnies, Scouts, and Guides students.

Scouts teacher Sumangala compered the programme.

Headmistress of the high school section, Josna Snehalatha, and headmaster of the primary section, Rudolph Kishore Lobo, were present on the occasion.
