Mangaluru, Feb 21: Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised a SU Aviators Business Expo on February 16 at the Aviation Campus with the objective of encouraging entrepreneurial skills and promoting innovative business ideas among students.
The event provided a dynamic platform for experiential learning, enabling students to understand the practical aspects of planning and managing a business. Students from BBA Aviation Management, BBA Aviation and Logistics Management and MBA Aviation Management actively participated in the expo by forming teams and setting up various stalls. The stalls included a wide range of food items as well as innovative product-based concepts.
Through direct interaction with customers, students gained valuable hands-on experience in sales techniques, customer handling, teamwork, inventory management, pricing decisions, and basic financial management such as calculating costs, revenue, and profit.
The product-based stalls reflected creativity, innovation, and marketing capabilities, as students focused on visual appeal, promotional strategies, and persuasive selling methods to attract attention. The entire campus witnessed a vibrant and competitive spirit, motivating participants to perform better and think strategically.





The Business Expo was successfully conducted under the guidance and support of the Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Roshin K Sibi, head of the department, cultural and management coordinators and with the support of the other faculty members whose collective efforts ensured smooth organization and execution of the event.
Overall, the expo proved to be a meaningful and valuable learning experience that enhanced students’ confidence, leadership qualities, decision-making skills, and entrepreneurial mindset, thereby bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical business application.
