Muscat, Feb 17: Omani nationals will be able to visit Azerbaijan without a prior visa under a temporary exemption announced by Oman’s Foreign Ministry. The visa-free arrangement is valid for one year, from February 15, 2026 to February 15, 2027 allowing short-term stays under specific conditions.
The Ministry confirmed that citizens of the Sultanate of Oman do not need an entry visa to visit Azerbaijan during the specified period. Under the terms of the exemption:

• Each visit can last up to 30 days.
• A maximum of three visits is permitted within the year.
• The exemption is temporary and applies only within the stated dates.
Although the visa requirement has been lifted, travellers must still meet standard entry conditions. The Ministry advised that:
• Passports should be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
• Visitors must hold health insurance covering the duration of their stay.
• Travellers are urged to ensure all documentation complies with these requirements before departure.
The move is expected to ease travel between the two nations and strengthen bilateral ties. By removing the need for prior visa approval, the arrangement is likely to facilitate tourism, business travel, and broader people-to-people exchanges.
The Foreign Ministry concluded by wishing all travellers a safe journey.
