Mangaluru, Feb 9: The Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University, organized skill development activities for first-year MSW students on January 20, 2026 at the Mukka–Surathkal campus, Mangalore.
The programme was designed to enhance students’ communication, interpersonal, presentation, and professional skills. As part of the activities, students were engaged in various interaction-based exercises and presentations, which encouraged active participation, confidence building, teamwork, and critical thinking. All the students actively participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and interest.




The interactive sessions provided them with practical exposure to effective communication and helped in improving their self-expression and presentation abilities, which are essential for professional social work practice.
The programme was conducted Krithika U p and Moksha A, under the guidance of Prof Joyson Prenky Cardoza, head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities. Prof. Ranjith Bhat was also present and extended his support and encouragement to the students throughout the programme.
The skill development activities were successfully conducted and were highly beneficial to the students in preparing them for their academic and professional responsibilities in the field of social work.
